In a recent ad campaign called “Look Past Pink and Blue,” New York City has spent $265,000 to let transgender people know they can use the public bathroom they identify with.
James Woods, a well-known actor known for his conservative viewpoints, had a better idea for how the money could have been spent.
Good use of taxpayer money while veterans go homeless… https://t.co/wrz76BzON4

Many of Wood’s followers agreed with his statement and tweeted out similar sympathies. One person shared a passage from an op-ed piece entitled “A De-Sexed Society is a De-Humanized Society.”
The transgender movement has never been about ‘gender.’ It’s all about sex. Sex is the real target. Gender is merely the politicized linguistic vehicle that facilitates a legal ban on sex distinctions. There aren’t a whole lot of dots to connect to uncover the logic of where this leads: if you abolish sex distinctions in law, you can abolish state recognition of biological family ties, and the state can regulate personal relationships and consolidate power as never before.
Others expressed their overall frustration with New York City mayor Bill De Blasio, the Obama administration and the transgender bathroom debate as a whole.

Meanwhile, a Navy vet encouraged James Woods to bring his ideas to public office.
