I’m sure that former House Speaker Newt Gingrich is probably slightly disappointed that he didn’t get the nod for vice president that Indiana Gov. Mike Pencedid. However, in an interview with ABC News, he told someone else to stop being disappointed about their lot in the Trump campaign — namely, the Bush family.
The Bushes, as you may have heard, have decided to skip the convention in Cleveland, even though they represent two of the last three Republican presidents. Apparently, George H.W. Bush, George W. Bush, Jeb Bush, Jeb! Bush, Jeb!!!!!!111111one Bush and NO SERIOUSLY IT’S JEB! Bush have decided that they’d make a statement by staying away from Cleveland this week.
During an appearance on ABC’s “Good Morning America,” Newt was less than impressed with the Bushes’ decision to steer clear of Lake Erie for the next week or so.
“The Bushes are behaving, I think, childishly,” Gingrich said. “Jeb lost. Get over it.
“The fact is, this Republican Party has been awfully good to the Bushes, and they’re showing remarkably little gratitude,” Gingrich added, something that should have been obvious to everyone.
