When Bill Clinton and Attorney General Loretta Lynch met on that airplane tarmac, they wanted us all to believe they were just talking about grandchildren. Of course absolutely no one believes that, and perhaps not surprisingly that includes FBI agents as well.
The ultimate decision by FBI director James Comey to let Hillary Clinton off the hook has infuriated many longtime agents and attorneys on the case, who, according to one source almost unanimously believe that Clinton should have been charged, per Foxnews.com. Many agents believe the FBI has now politicized itself, and they are extremely disillusioned.
The source spoke to FoxNews.com on condition of anonymity, and said the FBI director’s July 5th decision not to recommend indictment regarding the former Secretary of State’s use of a private unsecure email server left many members disgusted. More than 100 FBI agents, analysts, and six attorneys worked around the clock to investigate the case, and they all were under a consensus.
“No trial level attorney agreed, no agent working the case agreed, with the decision not to prosecute – it was a top-down decision,” said the source, who has been verified by Fox News. While the decision to indict her wasn’t unanimous, everyone was under agreement that “we all wanted her [Clinton’s] security clearance yanked.” Clinton might have escaped prosecution, but she yet again dropped the ball.
When FBI Director James Comey laid out the details of the proposed indictment on July 5th, the suspense level truly reached a crescendo. Everyone, including these FBI agents and Americans sitting at home alike thought that finally this woman would be held accountable for at least one of the many crimes she has committed. Needless to say, they did not expect the outcome: “We were floored while listening to FBI because Comey…said ‘but we are doing nothing’, which made no sense to us.”
Naturally, the FBI declined to comment on the case. Instead they referred Fox News to some of the many statements James Comey has made regarding this case and how he continues to insist that the decision wasn’t politically motivated.
“I know there were many opinions expressed by people who were not part of the investigation – including people in government – but none of that mattered to us,” Comey said during his July 5th announcement. “Opinions are irrelevant, and they were all uninformed by insight into our investigation, because we did the investigation the right way. Only facts matter, and the FBI found them here in an entirely apolitical and professional way.” Not so fast, says Fox News and legal expert Andrew Napolitano.
“It is well known that the FBI agents on the ground, the human beings who did the investigative work, had built an extremely strong case against Hillary Clinton and were furious when the case did not move forward,” said Napolitano. “They believe the decision not to prosecute came from The White House.”
Indeed, a number of veteran FBI agents have lost an immense amount of respect for Comey. He has “permanently damaged the bureau’s reputation for uncompromising investigations with his cowardly whitewash of former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton’s mishandling of classified information using an unauthorized private email server.”
Something that could rise to an “awareness of guilt” would be in the fact that many Clinton lackeys were granted immunity during this investigation. Cheryl Mills, State Department staffers John Bentel and Heather Samuelson, as well as Clinton IT aides Bryan Pagliano and Platte River Networks official Paul Combetta were all granted this designation.
All of these individuals had some type of role in the alleged cover-up. Combetta utilize the computer program “Bleachbit” to destroy Clinton records, and Samuelson also had a role in the destruction of the emails as well. Pagliano established the system, and Mills disclosed the classified information with the Clinton family foundation.
All illegal moves, raising questions about why immunity was granted in the first place. “[Immunity] is issued because you know someone possesses evidence you need to charge the target, and you almost always know what it is they possess,” the source said. “That’s why you give immunity.” What a shock. Clinton got away scot-free yet again.
