When a group of people invest in lies and deceit, they likely find it hard to juggle all of the things they have to do to cover their tracks. So, it has to be embarrassing when what you have done to manage those lies gets exposed, such as with the case with former chief Clinton aide Huma Abedin.
An email released by WikiLeaks exposes how Huma Abedin had to instruct a Clinton speechwriter to shorten a potential statement to reporters in the aftermath of her Benghazi testimony before Congress, according to Breitbart. It wasn’t because they knew Clinton would be tired after the 11-hour grilling—they were worried she would boot the message for the fact she would be speaking at a bank of microphones instead of a podium.
This information brings up a question as to whether or not Clinton had the mental capacity to memorize the speech while fatigued.
It lends credence to the questions Donald Trump keeps bringing up about her stamina.
This was included in the most recent WikiLeaks emails extracted from Clinton campaign chairman John Podesta. It’s just one of many emails that expose the Clinton campaign as corrupt and colluding to rig the November election.
The director of Clinton speechwriting team, Dan Schwerin, had sent a draft of a “post-game statement [Clinton] could make to press” after what turned out to be an 11-hour testimony before the House Benghazi Committee in October 2015.
The document Schwerin sent was brief in nature and crafted to shield the then secretary of state from any self-incriminating damage. The 253-word statement would take the average speaker less than two minutes to deliver.
However, Abedin was concerned about Clinton’s ability to perform after the lengthy testimony and balked at the length. “I would make it shorter only because it’s a bank of mics and no podium,” Abedin replied.
Clinton’s team, as it turned out, scrapped a post-testimony statement altogether, citing the late hour the committee adjourned. Clinton, in the end, testified – sometimes contentiously – for 11 hours. It is legitimate to note that during that time Clinton suffered a coughing fit for several minutes while answering questions from ally Rep. Elijah Cummings.
That Abedin was so concerned about the post-testimony statement raises some legitimate questions. Was Abedin concerned that Clinton’s health would not allow her to perform as needed in front of the media after such a long testimony? Or was she concerned that Clinton, fatigued as she was, would slip up and expose her culpability in the murders of four Americans by Islamofascist terrorists on that fateful night?
Either way, the fact Clinton had to be managed where the length of an important statement was concerned is troubling.
Just think, we would never have known about it if WikiLeaks hadn’t exposed the truth.
