Actress-comedian Roseanne Barr has just announced her unwavering support for presumed Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump for president.
Barr told The Hollywood Reporter that “we would be so lucky if Trump won” because “it wouldn’t be Hillary.”
When asked why she supported Trump, Barr responded that the presumptive nominee has been “saying that the order of law matters.”
Barr did not hide her strong feelings about the elections, as she had some harsh words for the Democrat candidates.
“Hillary (Clinton) probably got the receipt, because she paid for the Oval Office,” Barr said. “They’re just in there taking whatever money they can get and none of them represents the public! They’re gettin’ paid with public money to (expletive) the public!”
Barr had previously run for president during the 2012 election. But now she has turned to Trump, as she said he is the best person to lead the country.
“Trump is saying people will have to be vetted,” Barr said. “We’ll have to have legal immigration. It’s all a scam. I mean, illegal immigration. When people come here and they get a lot of benefits that our own veterans don’t get. What’s up with that?”
Barr is widely known for her outspoken personality, and she certainly did not hold back while talking about the upcoming election. She harshly criticized the American public for blindly giving their money to politicians without knowing what happens to that money.
“Americans don’t even know that much, even though they say they do,” she noted.
Barr is among a slew of celebrities coming out in support of Trump. Her reason for endorsing him was short and simple. As a woman who previously ran for office, however unsuccessfully, Barr can understand how hard it is to run a political campaign.
“I like Trump because he financed his own (campaign). That’s the only way he could’ve gotten that nomination,” she concluded.
