Presumptive GOP nominee Donald Trump is fed up — this time, however, it’s not with trade deals, the lack of border security or the incessant corruption of Hillary Clinton, but with the Republican congressmen and party leaders.
“You know the Republicans — honestly folks, our leaders have to get tougher,” Trump said at an Atlanta rally, according to The Hill. “This is too tough to do it alone, but you know what I think I’m going to be forced to.”
“Our leaders have to get a lot tougher,” he stated. “And be quiet. Just please be quiet. Don’t talk. Please be quiet. Just be quiet to the leaders because they have to get tougher, they have to get sharper, they have to get smarter. We have to have our Republicans either stick together or let me just do it by myself.”
This is the party that has allowed Democrats to wreak havoc on America over the past eight years — it’s also the same people who allowed George W. Bush to be a big government Republican.
The Paul Ryans and Mitch McConnells of America would be wise to get on board with Trump, as the American people have clearly chosen him over the rest of the crowded Republican field.
And no constitutional conservative wants to hear a presidential candidate say “let me just do it by myself” — we’ve had enough of that attitude, and the unconstitutional executive actions that go with it — under the current administration.
Establishment Republicans don’t understand the upcoming generation and their massive effect on conservatism. Conservatives have to be loud and controversial in order to garner even a snippet of attention in an American consciousness dominated by liberal news outlets.
Individuals like Milo Yiannopoulos, Steven Crowder, Ben Shapiro and Gavin McInnes are the founders of the unofficial anti-stupid, anti-leftivism movement that we so desperately need. More of them will pop up and the establishment Republicans will have a long, painful fate.
Trump wants the Republican elites to shut up because they no longer appeal to the overwhelming majority of people. When they speak, Trump garners an influx of negative press and news.
Tthe Republican Party desperately needed a re-branding, and now they seem to be fighting it with their lives. But no matter what they do, the old is going and the new is coming. They’d better get prepared or get out of the way.
