Don’t look for our first gold medalist Kim Rhode to be invited anytime soon to the White House.
The Olympic Gold Medalist is a pro Second Amendment sharpshooter who doesn’t shy away from speaking her mind about gun control, America’s national security issues, and the right of every law-abiding American, the right of self-protection.
Rhode underscored her dissatisfaction in speaking out, even though it may cost her endorsements saying; “I’m definitely becoming more vocal because I see the need.”
Especially the new gun control laws signed by California Gov. Jerry Brown, which makes this Gold Medalist cringe saying;
“We just had six laws that were passed in California that will directly affect me. For example, one of them being an ammunition law. I shoot 500 to 1,000 rounds a day, having to do a background check every time I purchase ammo or when I bring ammo out for a competition or a match, those are very, very challenging for me.”
The law is in actuality a series of mandates and restrictions targeting law-abiding gun owners that does little in addressing the cause and effect of violence within our society, focusing primarily on “high capacity” magazines, and “assault weapons’.
Rhode also pointed to recent mass shootings, saying: “You have Paris, you have San Bernardino, which was actually in a gun-free zone, so, yeah, it’s actually something that you take into consideration.
