Former Vice President Dick Cheney stated that he will be supporting one candidate and one candidate only this election season.
Cheney announced earlier this week that he plans to back presumptive Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump during this year’s general election, according to CNN.
This news may have come as something of a shock to former Presidents George H.W. Bush and George W. Bush, who announced earlier this week that they have chosen not to attend July’s Republican National Convention in Cleveland, which sounded to many a lot like they would not be officially endorsing Trump’s campaign for the presidency.
In fact, many establishment Republicans have refused to support the Donald because he represents what the people want — a move away from the status quo that has made the establishment wealthy and powerful. Understandably, establishment politicians on both sides of the aisle do not like that idea very much.

House Speaker Paul Ryan, for example, has also stated that he is “not ready” to support the presumptive nominee.
Reactions on Twitter were mixed, as might be expected. One user referred to Cheney as a “war criminal,” while almost simultaneously another wrote of him as a “man of great conviction.”
We think that Cheney has brains — it is the smart move to go with the will of the people. The sooner the establishment party poopers realize that, the happier the Republican Party will be.
