The FBI’s long-anticipated questioning of Hillary Clinton in relation to her use of private, unsecured email server during her time as secretary of state, will take place on Saturday.
A source close to the investigation told the Daily Caller the interview will take place at Clinton’s home in Washington, D.C. The direct questioning of Clinton is believed to be the final step in the bureau’s investigation not only into the presidential candidate’s handling of classified information, but also into possible public corruption charges in relation to the Clinton Foundation.
Lynch sought to squelch concerns Friday that the investigation will be fair.
“The recommendations [of the FBI investigators] will be reviewed by career supervisors in the Department of Justice and in the FBI, and by the FBI director, and then as is the common process, they present it to me and I fully expect to accept their recommendations,” Lynch said Friday during a panel discussion in Aspen, Colo.
