For many months we have been watching the slow decay of relations between Iran and the United States despite what the Obama administration has been saying.
The Washington Free Beacon reported that the Obama administration has been quietly telling Iran to conduct its ballistic missile tests in secret. Reportedly the administration doesn’t want Americans opposed to the nuclear deal to get more evidence of how terrible Iran is.
This revelation came from Amir Ali Hajizadeh, the commander of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps’ Aerospace and Missile Force, who claimed that these limitations by the Obama administration would lead to the United States stopping Iran from acquiring missile technology.
“At this time, the Americans are telling (us): ‘Don’t talk about missile affairs, and if you conduct a test or maneuver, don’t mention it,’” he stated.
“If we agree to this, they will advance another step, and say: Don’t conduct (a missile test) at this time, and also don’t do it in the Persian Gulf region.’ After that, they will tell us: ‘Why do you need your missiles to have a range of 2,000 km (anyway)?’” Hajizadeh stated.
Iran has long desired to build a missile capable of carrying a nuclear warhead and striking anywhere in the Middle East or Europe. Iran claims these are for self defense, but given its history of provocation that is doubtful.
Obama doesn’t want anyone to question Iran right now because he wants to be able to leave office with the Iranian nuclear deal in place and claim that he made progress in bringing peace to the Middle East.
Anyone with half an ounce of common sense knows that it is only a matter of time before Iran violates the agreement and begins building nuclear weapons. Hopefully we can elect a president who will tear up the Iranian deal and take real action to stop this radical country before it is too late.
