Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton was interviewed for more than three hours by the Federal Bureau of Investigation Saturday as federal officials complete their investigation into her use of a private email server while she was secretary of state.
NBC News reported that the interview focused upon “whether Clinton mishandled classified information submitted on her private email system while she served as secretary of state.”
This past week, speculation over the impact of political influence on any case against Clinton rose after former President Bill Clinton met privately with Attorney General Loretta Lynch. Lynch has said in the wake of the meeting she would accept whatever recommendation the FBI makes, although she has not formally recused herself from involvement in any decision over whether or not to prosecute Clinton.
