Lady Gaga, Tony Bennett, Katy Perry, these are just some of the big name celebrities that have endorsed Hillary Clinton by playing at various campaign fundraisers. But those endorsements come at a cost. A nearly $100,000 cost.
pagesix.com reports: The stars came out for Hillary Clinton and pocketed some heavenly fees for their efforts at a pair of Big Apple fund-raisers, with one featuring Lady Gaga and Tony Bennett and the second headlined by Katy Perry, a new report said Friday.
Team Hillary forked over nearly $100,000 for the performances, one last June 24 at the Plaza Hotel and the second in March at Radio City.
The Clinton campaign paid $21,088 to Mermaid Touring, a Los Angeles-based event production company registered in the name of Stefani Germanotta, Gaga’s birth name, according to Washington Free Beacon.
The event was billed as a one-night-only “intimate performance in support of Hillary for America,” with tickets costing from $1,000 to $2,700.
The New York natives Gaga and Bennett were on their Cheek to Cheek tour at the time, and Bennett pocketed two checks totaling $6,463 for his performance, according to her campaign records.
