Clinton has raised 9 times more cash than Trump

Hillary Clinton is thrashing Donald Trump in campaign fundraising, raking in nearly nine times as much money as the mogul last month, electoral filings show.

Trump raised just $3 million in May, compared to Clinton’s $26 million, the most recent filings with the Federal Election Commission show.

And the former secretary of state went into June well in the green, with $42 million cash on hand, compared to Trump’s $1.29 million, records show.

But Trump on Tuesday dismissed criticism that he hasn’t raised enough cash to be competitive with Clinton, saying he’s ready to pour tens of millions from his own pocket into the general election, and noting that he spent $55 million in the primaries.

“I may do that again in the general election,” he said on NBC’s “Today.”

“But it would be nice to have some help from the party.”

Former Trump campaign manager Corey Lewandowski noted this morning on Fox News that Trump has the capacity to move $50 million or $100 million into the campaign at a moment’s notice.

Trump said he’s prepared to go it alone if the GOP won’t unite behind him.

“I’m having more trouble, frankly, with some of the people in the party than with the Democrats,” he said.

Meanwhile, hundreds of protesters are expected to descend on Times Square as Trump meets with Christian leaders at the Marriott Marquis.

Trump and former GOP presidential candidate Ben Carson are leading a discussion with hundreds of evangelical leaders in hopes of landing their support in November.
