Emotions are running high on both sides of the aisle after 5 police officers were shot and killed in Dallas during a Black Lives Matter protest.
But one former Congressman and talk show radio host is in a lot of hot water after posting a message on Twitter that seemed to be a threat to President Obama:
Yeah… so.. that’s kinda illegal. You can’t just threaten the President of the United States – people kinda take that seriously.
Walsh’s tweet was thoroughly denounced by both left and right, to the point where his name was “trending” on Twitter, meaning it was one of the top mentioned subjects on the social media site:
Eventually the public furor forced him to delete it. Then he followed up with this explanation:
I wasn’t calling for violence, against Obama or anyone. Obama’s words & BLM’s deeds have gotten cops killed. Time for us to defend our cops.

Is that enough? People are calling for his radio station to fire him, and some are demanding that he be arrested for what sounds like a threat. Maybe that’s going too far, but we definitely shouldn’t be encouraging this kind of violent rhetoric, even if we disagree with the President.
What do you think? Should Walsh lose his job over the threat? Let us know what you think in the comments section below!!
