Although the FBI has failed in doing their job of pursuing criminal charges against Hillary Clinton, the investigation is not over.
There are still many questions that need answers, chiefly from the former secretary of state herself. And while she tried to dodge the subject to continue her pursuit of the White House, there are those not backing down.
Groups within our country are demanding the truth from Clinton.
They are using the law to uncover what really went on with her private email server, hoping to uncover the facts surrounding her behavior as SoS.
No doubt they will release whatever they find to the public, including possibly damning evidence that could hurt Clinton’s campaign.
Of course she’s trying to fight that, but a federal court’s not buying it.
From Daily Mail:
On Friday, the conservative watchdog group Judicial Watch submitted a request for permission to depose Clinton, along with two other current and former government officials, as part of the ongoing Freedom of Information Act lawsuit looking into aide Huma Abedin’s special employment arrangement with the State Department.
‘As the primary driving force behind and principal user of the clintonemail.com system, however, Secretary Clinton’s testimony is crucial to understanding how and why the system was created and operated,’ the brief argued, calling Clinton a ‘indispensable witness.’
The court gave Clinton, along with two other officials – Clarence Finney and John Bentel – until Tuesday to respond.
We’ve talked about Huma Abedin before. The former top aide to Clintons’ State department was known to have ties to terrorist-funding groups. And despite our government knowing this, Abedin was given a powerful position within the State Department, with access to highly sensitive material.
This bizarre conflict of interest still puzzles many people. Uncovering the truth about Abedin and what went on is paramount in this email server investigation.
At the heart of the Freedom of Information Act lawsuit is Abedin’s double-dipping job arrangement.
In the spring of 2012, Abedin went from being Clinton’s deputy chief of staff at the State Department to a senior advisor role, a job with a ‘special government employee’ status that allowed Abedin to bring in outside income as well.
The longtime Clinton aide, who now serves as the likely Democratic nominee’s vice chairwoman of the campaign, then worked for the Clinton-affiliated global consulting firm Teneo.
This is just one of many special arrangements Clinton made while in the State Department. We know that she used her position to give out favors to foreign interests. She abused the position to make herself rich and powerful. The many emails she conveniently deleted prior to the investigation (which can be recovered) undoubtedly contains a multitude of details into her corrupt deals.
Time will tell if Judicial Watch will be successful in bringing Clinton in to testify. One thing’s for sure however: there’s never been a person with a more suspicious past running for president.
