Does The DOJ Have Any Integrity Left?

According to recent reports by CNN, the FBI wanted to initiate a public integrity investigation of the Clinton Foundation earlier this year but the request was shot down by the Justice Department (i.e., Attorney General Loretta Lynch.)

The Justice Department apparently could not find sufficient evidence to warrant such an investigation.

This revelation comes just as more of Hillary Clinton’s emails have been released by Wikileaks and the watchdog group Judicial Watch. The emails give any thinking person serious reason to wonder about the integrity of the Justice Department and the Attorney General when it comes to the Clintons.

I heard a TV interview Wednesday morning with Larry Klayman, the founder of Judicial Watch, who says he knows James Comey. He said that Comey is a really good guy but that he’s a “political animal” who declined to recommend prosecution of Hillary Clinton to preserve his career.

Klayman said Comey knew if he recommended prosecution for Clinton that his position as FBI Director would be gone and that he’d never get another appointment from a Democrat administration.

I can’t verify Mr. Klayman’s statements as true. Only Mr. Comey himself (and those who pull his strings) know the truth. But when you go on national television and point out all the various ways someone is guilty, then decline to prosecute that person, what should the American people think?

Being former federal law enforcement myself, I have personally known and worked with many FBI agents. I have a great respect for the agents and the difficult jobs they do on a daily basis. Having their director and their top cop sell out to the Obama administration and the Clintons has got to be difficult for them to accept.

The Trump campaign weighed into the controversy, commenting on Hillary’s continuing email scandals.

“Once again, the Department of Justice has protected Hillary Clinton. Earlier this year the DOJ denied a request from the FBI to investigate her pay-to-play, corrupt Clinton Foundation,” the Trump campaign wrote in an email to supporters. “News of its rejection comes immediately after leaked emails exposed a concerning link between the Clinton Foundation and the State Department!”

Trump himself commented on Twitter:

It’s no secret anymore that the Clintons are above the law. This was made clear by James Comey following a private meeting between the Attorney General and former President Bill Clinton.

Or perhaps it’s just Democrats in general. After all – Debbie Wasserman Schultz was caught rigging the Democrat primary election and her “punishment” was to resign from her position as DNC Chair and take a job with the Clinton campaign.

I guess the big question is this: if a person who is above the law gets elected to (or steals) the Presidency of the United States, how much worse will our government be compared to the lawless administration currently in office?

That question should scare every American.
