Protesters skipped this Donald Trump rally. Go figure.
The presumptive Republican presidential nominee said Sunday that the U.S. government treats illegal immigrants better than veterans.
Speaking in front of the Lincoln Memorial in Washington, Trump told those attending the 29th annual Rolling Thunder motorcycle rally that will stop if he’s elected.
“We have to take care of our vets, and in many cases, illegal immigrants are taken better care of by this country than our vets, and that’s not going to happen,” he said.
Trump’s full speech can be seen here:
The annual event pays homage to fallen heroes and draws attention to veterans’ issues and Trump addressed one of those pressing issues — shoddy medical care at VA hospitals.
“Thousands of people are dying, waiting in line to see a doctor,” the candidate said. “That is not going to happen anymore.”
Trump also promised that he will strengthen the military… and “knock the hell” out of ISIS.
“We’re going to make it bigger and bigger and better and stronger than ever before,” he told the crowd. “We have no choice. We have to do it.”
As for all the bikers, Trump was impressed.
“Look at all these bikers,” he said. “Do we love the bikers? Yes. We love the bikers.”

Nice show of Trump support by Rolling Thunder. Didn’t see any disruptors at this rally, did you? …and you know why pic.twitter.com/TeEPMxh3hd
