Donald Trump is responding to the rioters who disrupted what was an otherwise peaceful political gathering on Thursday in San Jose, California. Left-wing agitators assaulted Trump supporters, pelting them with eggs, bottles and fists.
Trump is now responding to the agitators and is not backing down.
“Thank you for the incredible amount of support last night — San Jose, California,” Trump wrote on his Facebook page. “I love you all — we will deal with the thugs & criminals — we will build the wall — and Mexico will pay for it!”
The GOP presumptive nominee struck a similar tone on Twitter, calling rioters a “small group of thugs.” On Friday morning Trump Tweeted:
Rally last night in San Jose was great. Tremendous love and enthusiasm in the hall. Big crowd. Outside, small group of thugs burned Am flag!

At a rally on Thursday in San Jose, California, supporters of the GOP presumptive nominee were surrounded by protesters, many of whom were carrying Mexican flags, and assaulted with eggs, bottles, and punches. The incident is just the latest attempt by leftists to intimidate supporters of the real estate mogul with violence.
The violence broke out after the event in San Jose wrapped up just before 8 p.m. local time (11 p.m. ET). Some Trump supporters were punched. One woman wearing a “Trump” jersey was cornered, spit at, and pelted with eggs and water bottles.

The agitators continued to wreak havoc upon the city of San Jose long after the Trump rally had ended. According to police, several protesters were arrested and at least one police officer was assaulted.
At least one Trump supporter suffered wounds as he was exiting the rally. The man was followed by agitators before being physically assaulted. The attack broke the supporters glasses and opened a bloody wound on the side of his head.
