The horrific terrorist attack in Orlando at a gay nightclub early Sunday has apparently inspired a number of homosexual men to rescind their support for Democrat front-runner Hillary Clinton and instead endorse presumptive GOP presidential nominee Donald Trump because of his blunt but honest rhetoric about radical Islamic terrorism.
“I am a gay liberal who has had it with the PC crap of the left,” one man wrote on “The_Donald” Reddit page, according to the Washington Examiner. “Trump has EARNED my vote with his honesty.”
“I’m American, I’m gay, I used to think Donald trump was full of s***,” wrote another. “Today everything changed. My friend was one of the victims in Orlando, I’ve never been more ready for Trump to take office.”
But the most compelling Reddit post may have come from a man identified as “SnowDuckling,” who in his post slammed liberals for allowing Islamists “to spread their hate without any criticism”:
“Yesterday I learned that the left doesn’t give a f*** about me,” he wrote. “They won’t do anything for me because it’s not PC and might hurt someone’s feelings. It’s about time that I jumped ship.”
Writing for PJ Media, another anonymous gay man shared a similar sentiment, noting that though he perceived Trump to be an “a**hole” and “clown,” he appreciated the billionaire’s blunt rhetoric.
“Appeasing Muslims is more important than defending the lives of gay people,” he wrote of liberals. “Every progressive who runs interference for Islamic murderers is complicit in those murders, and I can no longer be a part of that team.”
