Germans told to stockpile food and water for first time since cold war, but the reason this time is entirely preventable

Bizpacreview reported:

German authorities have become so worried over the possibility of a massive attack on their homeland that officials are about to unveil a new policy urging citizens to stockpile at least a 10-day emergency store of food and water. This is the first time German authorities have issued such a policy since the Cold War.

Even as German Chancellor Angela Merkel continues to insist everything is fine and that her efforts to flood Germany with hundreds of thousands of Muslim “refugees” isn’t responsible for bringing a wave of rapes, destruction and terror attacks — despite government insiders saying the opposite — Germans are being told to store food in case of a disaster.

Germany is once again on a tense alert after a series of Islamist attacks and in response the government has created a special cyber unit and announced a hike in spending on security services and police.

Saying they are in “the crosshairs of terrorism,”authorities have prepared another recommendation for its citizenry.

“The population will be obliged to hold an individual supply of food for ten days,” Reuters reports citing the policy entitled a “Concept for Civil Defense” — a plan drafted by the Interior Ministry.

The 69-page policy suggestion goes on to require that people to “prepare appropriately for a development that could threaten our existence and cannot be categorically ruled out in the future.”

The government paper also calls for higher security for public buildings, a more reliable nation-wide alarm system, and an expansion in the healthcare system to respond to disaster.

Another recommendation was that the common citizenry must be prepared to somehow aid the military in a time of strife.

After the media learned of the plan, the Interior Ministry refused to give further details, saying only that it will be discussed at a future cabinet meeting.

This is the first time such a policy has been put forward by a German government since the fears of the Colds War. It also marks an escalation in spending and participation in military, security, police and civilian forces in national defense.

German intelligence has already confirmed that ISIS is smuggling in “terrorist hit squads” into the country amongst the “refugees” Merkel has allowed into Germany and authorities admit they cannot control the migrants. With all this, officials fear any number of attacks are still coming and preparations must be made to meet them.
