t is the habit of liberals and Democrats to prosper in a time of crisis or on the misfortune of others, particularly on a national level. So, once they are settled with a weak contender, they immediately augment the level of political activity.

The recent flare-up over two lines from Melania Trump’s RNC Convention speech is a perfect example. With absolutely nothing to do with the issues facing our nation – or the way a Trump Administration would handle those issues, the Left tried to manufacture a crisis of “plagiarism” targeting Mrs. Trump. But an infographic posted on Sean Hannity’s Facebook page not only proves the Democrats and Progressives to be hypocritical, it proves that they ignore it when they are guilty.
The truth is, Melania’s speech draws from the same sentiments used by First Ladies and prospective First Ladies going all the way back to the first time spouses were tapped to speak at political conventions. On the flip side, Democrats and Progressives lift verbiage all the time.
The infographic shows four panels, each dedicated to a major player in the Obama Administration. Included in the four panels are President Obama, Hillary Clinton, Michelle Obama, and Vice President Joe Biden.
The first panel, containing Barack Obama, indicates that he lifted whole speeches from Massachusetts Governor Duval Patrick during his 2007 presidential campaign. Mr. Obama didn’t just lift the words from Duval once, he lifted them repeatedly, coopting them as his own. In an interview late in the campaign, Patrick came forward and literally said the plagiarism was acceptable.
The second panel features First Lady Michelle Obama. She lifted whole passages from Saul Alinsky’s Rules for Radicals during her 2008 DNC Convention speech. It became plagiarism when she failed to cite the author. By the way, Alinsky’s Rules for Radicals“acknowledges” Lucifer on its dedication page.
In the third panel, we learn that current Democrat presumptive nominee Hillary Clinton blatantly plagiarized from Senator John Edwards during her failed 2008 presidential run. The big story here is that Clinton was plagiarizing off Edwards even as he was still running in the same Democrat primary races.
And lastly, we have Vice President Joe Biden. One almost feels bad pointing this out, given that Joe is, well, Joe, but he lifted verbiage from British Labour Party leader Neal Kinnock during his 1988 run for president.
So, we see that Democrats and Progressives – the same people today shooting arrows at Melania Trump for using the same values in her speech as those who came before her – are rich with plagiaristic history. The only way they get away with it is because the mainstream media is too cowardly to call them on it.
In defense of Mrs. Trump, the use of the words she included were offered in a completelydifferent context than when Mrs. Obama uttered them. Where Melania was using them from a position that evidenced her proud of the United States and of her pride in being a US citizen, Michelle was proud to be an American “for the first time in her life,” and only because the spotlight had been turned on her and her Progressive activist husband.
President Obama has once made a huge production of a phrase convincing to this matter on the stage when he stated that ” words matter”, and they do. It is also a big deal and extremely hypocritical when you yourself have plagiarized a text, sentence or word and you still dare to accuse others of the crime.
