The candidates faced off in two primary contests on Tuesday: the Arizona primary and the Utah Caucuses. Billionaire Donald Trump and Texas Senator Ted Cruz each took home a victory last night.
In Arizona Donald Trump emerged victorious, defeating Ted Cruz by more than 20 percentage points. Ohio Governor John Kasich finished in a distant third place with 10% of the vote. Trump takes home all 57 of Arizona’s delegates.
The results were much different in the state of Utah, where Ted Cruz dominated the contest. The Texas Senator took nearly 70% of the vote, while John Kasich and Donald Trump took 17% and 14% respectively. Having received the vote of over 50% of caucus-goers, Cruz collects all 40 of Utah’s delegates
