Hillary Clinton may just have stumbled upon the most bizarre euphemism for lying in the history of politics.
The Democratic presidential nominee has been making the media rounds continuing to perpetuate the utter falsehood that she had been truthful to the public about her private email server and the messages that had been transmitted therefrom.
At a recent media event, Kristen Welker of NBC asked Clinton about the now-debunked claims that she made during two recent interviews; claims that were directly contradicted by FBI director James Comey.
“Are you mischaracterizing Director Comey’s testimony, and is this not undercutting your efforts to rebuild trust with the American people?” Welker asked.
“I may have short-circuited,” Hillary responded. “And for that, I will try to clarify, because I think [Fox News anchor] Chris Wallace and I were probably talking past each other.”
