Hillary Clinton’s charge during her Thursday foreign policy speech that Donald Trump cannot be entrusted with the lives of America’s military members appears fundamentally flawed on its face.
“We cannot put the lives of our young men and women in uniform in Donald Trump’s hands,” she said.
“Now imagine Donald Trump sitting in the Situation Room, making life-or-death decisions on behalf of the United States. Imagine him deciding whether to send your spouses or children into battle,” she added at another point in her remarks. “Do we want him making those calls – someone thin-skinned and quick to anger, who lashes out at the smallest criticism? Do we want his finger anywhere near the button?”
Trump countered at a rally in San Jose Thursday night, “I watched Hillary’s thing today was which was hard… Crooked Hillary said, ‘Oh, Donald Trump, his finger on the button.’ I’m the one that didn’t want to go into Iraq, folks, and she’s the one that stupidly raised her hand to go into Iraq and destabilize the entire Middle East.”
Fox News National Security Analyst and former Reagan Pentagon official K.T. McFarland, also chronicled some of Clinton’s other major foreign policy blunders including:
- Compromising national security with her cavalier treatment of our most classified information.
- Failing to protect or rescue Americans in Benghazi and then lying about it afterwards.
- Clamoring for the Libya war and supporting the premature Iraq withdrawal which enabled the spread of radical Islam far and wide.
- Failing to reset relations with Russia
Eric Trump stated on Fox News Thursday that he was “livid” after watching the film “13 Hours: The Secret Soldiers of Benghazi” over Memorial Day Weekend.
“I think in order to vote in this next election, you should have to watch that movie. I was livid,” he said. “[Clinton] left these guys on a rooftop in the middle of Benghazi getting shot at, having mortars drop on their head because she wouldn’t pick up a phone call in the middle of the night.”
“Her foreign policy has literally cost this country trillions of dollars, thousands of lives,” the younger Trump added. “Her policy is totally disastrous. My father would be an amazing, amazing commander-in-chief.”
