Donald Trump has demonstrated his desire to be a champion for many oft-overlooked people in this country today. Veterans in particular have been thrilled this man decided to run for president. Now, Christians can even take heart about this man’s policies if he is elected.
Ivanka Trump revealed that her father plans to move the U.S. embassy to Jerusalem “100 percent” during his administration. Ivanka spoke before The Sul of Bal Harbour in Surfside, Florida and said she is proud of her father for being an “unbelievable champion” for the state of Israel.
During her speech, Ivanka also brought up some anecdotal evidence for his support of the Jewish worldview. She said Trump supported his daughter’s decision to convert to Judaism in 2010.
“I so respect the fact that he supported me from day one,” she said. “There was no question, there was no argument. He was very supportive.”
The Jewish vote in Florida represents a major voting block for Donald Trump, and could easily help him win the election. The RealClearPolitics average shows his opponent with a slim 1.2 percent lead over him in the Sunshine State, so the race is essentially tied.
However, Clinton is ahead of him by 43 percentage points among Jewish voters. If he can make inroads in that bloc, it could swing the state and the election in his favor.
Congress passed a law mandating the move of the U.S. Embassy to Jerusalem, but they granted the President of the United States a waiver. Presidents Clinton, Bush Jr., and Obama have all declined the invitation, citing security issues.
Donald Trump first made the promise during a stop in January, calling Jerusalem the “eternal city” and said he would move there without any question. His decision makes a very telling point.
First of all, he is telling Israel he has their back. He realizes Muslim extremists hate the nation of Israel, and they want to wipe it off the face of the map. By breaking tradition, he has definitely distinguished himself from his potential predecessor, Obama.
Our current president has only been diplomatic with Iran it would appear. The country is openly hostile to Israel, and the Iran Nuclear Deal was the biggest farce we have seen since Neville Chamberlain in the 1930’s.
Simply put, Israel will suffer if Hillary Clinton is our next president. Trump’s foreign policy and leadership will not only make America great again but it will help Israel continue to survive and thrive well into the future.
