Democrats have always claimed that they have been an advocate for minorities since the beginning of this country, but they seem to be forgetting their history.
Republicans have supported the Civil Rights, while the Democrats have tried to hold them back. But they all love Obamacare!

But a simple look at the facts really clears it up for liberals, who think that all Republicans are evil racists who hate anyone who isn’t white. But it turns out, not too long ago, Democrats actually fit that description.
After all, it was the Democrat Governor of Alabama, George Wallace, who said, “Segregation now, segregation tomorrow, segregation forever” which became the rallying cry for many who opposed the civil rights movement.
The Civil Rights Act of 1964 had more Democrats in opposition than Republicans. Only 61 percent of the House Democrats voted for it, compared to the 80 percent of Republicans. And in the Senate, only 69 percent of Democrats supported it, along with 82 percent of Republicans. (via the National Review)
In 2000, Al Gore impressed many people when he claimed that his father, Al Gore Sr. lost his seat in the Senate because of his vote for the Civil Rights Act. We would respect the elder Gore for making a stand for civil rights, if not for one little detail: Gore Sr. voted against the act.
The Democrats, despite popular belief, were the larger supporters of slavery, black codes, Jim Crow, and the Ku Klux Klan. Republicans, on the other hand, were the party of Lincoln and were strongly against things like lynching and segregation.
More recently, in 2010, the Democrats had a former KKK member, Robert Byrd in the Senate. Byrd also happened to be Hillary Clinton’s mentor and close friend, isn’t that funny? And yet, Republicans are racist, evil people?
The Democrats have gotten pretty good at rewriting their history, and pinning their mistakes onto Republicans. People who actually paid attention in history class remember the truth and we are here to prove the liberals wrong.
Bill Clinton praised a former segregationist, J. William Fulbright in 1995, but do liberals care? No, of course not, because Fulbright, Byrd, and Gore Sr. “renounced” their racist past. And yet, Donald Trump gets public disdain because, allegedly, KKK members support him? He denounced them and has never stepped foot in the evil organization!
Democrats need to take a closer look at their history and ask themselves who the real racists are.
