Following the primary and caucus voting of the final states on Tuesday night, actually while the results were still being compiled, billionaire businessman and presumptive GOP nominee Donald Trump delivered a victory speech during which he made an effort to reach out to voters who had supported other candidates.
“To those who voted for someone else, in either party, I will work hard to earn your support, and I will work very hard to earn that support,” Trump declared.
“To all of those Bernie Sanders voters who have been left out in the cold by a rigged system of superdelegates, we welcome you with open arms,” he proclaimed to resounding cheers and applause.
Driving that point home, Trump proceeded to mention the terrible international trade deals that Sanders has been railing against as much as Trump has, making it clear that, like Bernie, he would do away with those deals in order to protect American workers as well.

Though the media has worked hard to deny that it has been happening, Trump has already been drawing some support from disillusioned Democrats and independents, the same sort of people who have been supporting Sanders.
That trend may have just taken off following Trump’s proffered embrace to disappointed Sanders supporters.
In a post to his Facebook page offering thanks to the Republican National Committee following the conclusion of the primary season, numerous life-long Democrats and Sanders supporters commented to let Trump know that he would be gaining their support over the scandal-plagued presumptive Democrat nominee, Hillary Clinton.
A user named Juanita Mae Ish Poloskey wrote: “Super! We need Bernies voters to come to Trump! I was a Democrat all my life, this year I believe Trump is the only person who can get America back!!!”
User Nic Allen wrote: “I and a bunch of Bernie supporters will be voting Trump this November. I refuse to vote for someone who sells the American people out to foreign entities.”
That comment earned more than 8,751 “likes” in just a few short hours.
Still another commenter named Mac Zeff wrote, “My family has traditionaly been Democrats. We are voting TRUMP this time around. If Hillary is the best the Democrats can produce for the working class, its time to disband the Democrat party.”
To be sure, this is but a tiny sampling of many, many comments from self-proclaimed Sanders supporters and Democrats who claimed to be switching their allegiance to the Republican nominee, if only for this particular election cycle.
It will be interesting to see how effective Trump’s outreach to infuriated Sanders fans will be in preventing Clinton from successfully gathering Democrats and independents in support her candidacy.
As of right now, it isn’t looking good for her.
Please share this on Facebook and Twitter to help spread the word that Bernie Sanders supporters and Hillary Clinton-hating Democrats really are switching over to support Trump.
