Senator John McCain (R-AZ) is in a tough primary, and is boycotting the Republican National Convention (RNC) in Cleveland.
But it just backfired in a big way. His opponent, Dr. Kelli Ward, is actively soliciting support and donations from the Republican grassroots at the convention.
She spoke at the Unity Rally and explained to the audience just why she stands with GOP presidential nominee Donald Trump’s bold, conservative agenda. Arizona is a border state, and Dr. Ward is ready for that wall to be built to stop illegal immigration, before it’s too late!
Dr. Ward opined, “I came to speak at the unity rally today because I think it’s very important for us to unify our party behind our nominee so we are able to win and defeat Hillary Clinton at the ballot box in November.”
But she knows defeating McCain is going to be a tough job, as he’s been in the Senate for so long:
“I’m here meeting with people from all across the country and from the Arizona delegation, solidifying my support in my run for the U.S. Senate against John McCain in the primary.” she added.
Dr. Ward concluded, “The policy issues and differences between he and I should be pointed out in this very important election so I’m hopeful that we’ll be able to see it.”
