Meet the Hispanic Army Veteran Who Cleaned Ice Cream Off Trump’s Walk of Fame Star

John Anthony Arroyo is a United States Army veteran of Mexican descent living in Los Angeles, California. He is also an avid supporter of presidential front-runner, Donald J. Trump.

Mr. Arroyo recently made waves across social media after a photo and post that he composed has been shared nearly 50,000 times.

The original post reads as follows:

So I went to Hollywood Boulevard the other day and had to clean off Donald Trump’s star. Someone had smeared it with ice cream.
As I posed for this picture, some laughed and mocked me, others looked scared to agree with me. Some Hispanic lady started yelling at me, calling me a racist…
This election is not about race. I am Chicano. 5000 illegal aliens enter the USA everyday. There is such a thing as becoming overpopulated and drowning the economy.
I’ve lost a lot of jobs because they were taken by illegals, or (because) I didn’t speak Spanish. My own people pushed me down, now they call me a racist??
I am a veteran of the U.S. Army. I am American first, and I refuse to play the race card in this election. ‘Illegal’ is not a race.
So ‘salud’ to all those Latinos who have not been intimidated by La Raza, who call you a ‘sellout’ or whatever – this election is not about race, it’s about America.
We must secure our border and regulate our population. Even China only allows 2 children per family. (This) has nothing to do with racism. It’s about regulating the population/economy – soon, if not already, we will have more people than jobs.
It is time Mexico takes responsibility for its people and stops blaming America, or protesting in America for Mexico. Poverty is what causes people to come here illegally. We can cure poverty.
Mexico receives millions in foreign aid – where does that money go?? Mexico needs to create EBT programs for its people.
At one time we were all immigrants. We were building a nation. Today we are fully populated. Laws must change with the times. It’s time we put America first, not our race.
Let’s fix home first, then help our neighbors.

I recently had the privilege to speak at length with Mr. Arroyo, and absorb his compelling commentary on the condition of the United States, the 2016 election, illegal immigration, Donald Trump, and more. He owns a unique perspective as a veteran, Hispanic, and resident of Los Angeles, the largest sanctuary city in California – which has essentially become a sanctuary state for illegal aliens.

… on Trump’s assessment of Mexican criminals –

People keep saying that he ‘hates all Mexicans.’ He’s not labeling all Mexicans. He’s saying that a lot of Mexicans who come here are criminals in their own country. The Mexican government gives a lot of them the option to leave Mexico instead imprisoning them for 20 to 30 years, or life. But they can’t afford to, so they give them the option to leave the country. So, a lot of criminals are included in that 5,000 that come into the United States every day.

… on ‘America First’ –

I don’t care if you’re black, white, purple, or green – this is not about that. This is about the future of America. We need to put Americans first… I am tired of losing my country. I walk outside and it’s like I’m not in America anymore. I just want the American dream to belong to Americans, not illegal aliens.

It’s hard for Americans to find work. There are a lot of Americans who want those jobs they say that nobody wants. The streets are full of homeless people – even whole families. Poverty is rampant. I was in a homeless shelter, and there are a lot of Americans in there.

I can take you to households full of illegals where they have so much food, they’re throwing it away. I can take you to the V.A. to meet veterans who can’t get jobs because they’re taken by illegals. In five or six years, if you don’t speak Spanish, you won’t get an entry-level job in California. That’s what the future is coming to.

If you want to come to this country, do it legally. Wait in line just like everybody else.

… on domestic terrorism at Trump rallies –

All these violent things that are happening at the rallies – people are being beaten up based on their beliefs. If I was a Bernie Sanders supporter, I wouldn’t have to worry about a Trump supporter being at a rally, trying to beat me up. These protestors are trying to intimidate Trump supporters, and it’s something I’ve never seen before – it never happened at Obama or Clinton rallies. They’re afraid of being deported back to Mexico, but they weren’t afraid to come here illegally and take for themselves.

People have a right to protest, but they do not have a right to riot, flip over cars, and hurt people. I think the police need to do more at these rallies and have buses waiting to take rioters to jail because they know it’s going to be a hot spot for crime.

… on speaking English in the U.S. –

A lot of the Mexicans have been here 10 or 20 years, and still don’t speak English. My apartment complex is all illegals who only speak Spanish. I think all Americans should speak English in public. I shouldn’t have to not be able to talk to a cashier because I don’t speak Spanish. If you want to speak Spanish, Chinese, Japanese – that’s fine, speak it at home. We should not have translators at schools, or need to put translations at government buildings. If I went to Mexico, and I spoke German, they’re not going to find a translator for me.

… on the threat of Islamists –

We also need to protect ourselves against Muslims. There are 1.6 billion Muslims worldwide, and roughly 20%-25% of them are ‘radicalized.’ That’s well over 300 million radical Muslims who are dedicated to destruction, jihad, and war with America. It only took two of them to kill 14 in San Bernardino. It only took three to kill 129 in Paris. It only took 19 to kill almost 3,000 on 9/11. So the peaceful majority are irrelevant.

If only one American is killed based on his religion, we have to put a stop to that. It’s not an option. The problem is ongoing. 9/11 can happen again – and next time it could be Dodger Stadium or another Oklahoma bombing. We have to put a ban on all Muslims coming into the United States for now.

Islam is already against the law in America, as of 1952, because it teaches them to kill anyone who is not a Muslim. In downtown L.A. they fill the streets and stop traffic in the middle of the afternoon to pray to Allah. In my hometown of Victorville, there are ISIS training camps. ISIS is already here in our front yard. We would have more terrorist attacks and more of the same policies under Hillary as we have Obama. Trump is the only solution.

… on Donald Trump’s journey to the White House –

Never have I felt this way about a candidate. I don’t even vote that much. I used to be a Democrat.

What really has touched my heart as far as Trump is concerned is that he is putting his life on the line for us. He is a billionaire. He could go home and have a good life. He doesn’t need to be doing this. His legacy is already imprinted in history.

He’s not a politician – he doesn’t come from the political realm. He’s a very successful businessman. They say, “Oh, but he’s filed for bankruptcy.” Many great businessmen have filed a bankruptcy at some point. If you’ve never made a mistake, you’ve never tried something new – and he’s learned from that. But look at all the good he has done. He really has the best interests of Americans in his heart. He is a patriot. He is putting himself on the line. Look at all the death threats he gets. I am praying for him, and I hope the Lord protects him. He has the American people behind him because he speaks his mind and he speaks the truth.

They keep trying to catch him in a lie, but he’s so honest and they haven’t yet. It’s said, ‘No one is as hated as he who speaks the truth.’ All of these other candidates are scared to offend the mainstream. Trump is our last hope. If he doesn’t become president, hold on tight because we’re going down fast. The United States will become a Third World country.

People say, “Oh, he inherited his money.” No he didn’t. He was loaned one million dollars. He had a family business and a name to uphold – he had so much to lose. ‘To whom much is given, much is expected.’ If someone gave me a million dollars and I had to make it work, I would feel a lot of pressure. That doesn’t just make it easy – you could lose that money. People go bankrupt every day. They always try to find something wrong with him, but they should focus on what’s right with him.

Real Americans are not afraid of Trump. If you’re a real American, Trump does not scare you because you know he has your best interests at heart. He’s even more of a ‘brave American’ than a lot of veterans I know. He’s putting his name and life on the front lines. A lot of us never went to war or put ourselves in front of a bullet. He IS putting himself in front of a bullet for America. I think the founding fathers would be proud of Trump.

I’m putting it out there, loud and proud: I’m voting for Donald J. Trump.
