President Barack Obama infuriated much of America when he spent more time insulting Donald Trump’s response to the Orlando terror attack than he did talking about the victims of that slaughter.
Israeli Prime Minster Benjamin Netanyahu put Obama to shame when he posted a video message to Facebook talking about the Orlando terror attack. Netanyahu’s message was incredibly powerful and put many things in perspective.
Netanyahu would know better than most what America is going through right now. He is the leader of a country that suffers terror attacks on a near daily basis, but still manages to continue forward.
“This week’s shooting wasn’t merely an attack on the LGBT community. It was an attack on all of us, on our common values of freedom and diversity and choice. Radical Islamist terror makes no distinction between shades of infidel,” he stated.
Netanyahu went out to list all those who have been victims of the Islamic State group, from Paris and San Bernardino to the Middle East, where people are executed on a daily basis.
The Islamic State group doesn’t care who we are, they will kill all of us simply because they don’t like the freedoms we live with on a daily basis. To them, we are all the same — even if we don’t think that ourselves.
You can watch the prime minister’s comments here:
“Working together we will defeat them even faster. We need to stand united, resolute in the belief that all people regardless of their sexual orientation, regardless of their race, regardless of their ethnicity, all people deserve respect, deserve dignity,” Netanyahu concluded.
Very powerful stuff.
It’s a very sad sign of the times when the leader of a foreign nation gives a better speech condemning an attack on American soil than our own president does.
America is crying out for a leader. We’ve suffered for almost eight years with the same incompetent president. It’s time for America to have a president we can be proud of.
