Obama Allows U.S. Civilian Jets to Land in Iran for 72 Hours

Secretary of State John Kerry proudly announced that he had secured an agreement that would halt the Iranian nuclear weapons program in exchange for our dropping trade sanctions against them and that would also include the return of about $160 billion dollars withheld from Iran because of their nuclear weapons development. The Obama administration made a big deal about our improved relations and halting the weapons program and released the money to the newly “reticent” Iranians. The Iranians responded by shouting “Death to America,” resumed testing intercontinental ballistic missiles, and began handing out gobs of cash to terrorists to help with their cause. Oh, and the nuclear weapons program continues apace, only with greater secrecy.

The Iranians are almost as dishonest as Hillary Clinton. Actually that is not true, they make their plans known and the brilliant Obama administration either does not understand what they are saying or ignores it. Of course there is always the underlying question as to whether Obama is friend or foe with Muslim terrorists, of which Iran is clearly a supporter. And so as the Democrats wind up their convention, Obama once again has offered up a little love to the regime that wants to blast us to smithereens. Other than being a flat-out Muslim terrorist sympathizer, no one can figure out why Obama is determined to play kissy face with the mullahs.

The Obama administration has approved U.S. civilian jets owned by foreign carriers to travel to Iran for 72 hours, according to a notice issued by the U.S. Treasury late Friday afternoon.

The announcement came less than 24 hours after the Democratic National Convention concluded in Philadelphia, and former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton accepted her party’s nomination for the presidency. Clinton backed the Iran deal, and has taken credit for helping start the talks, with an adviser saying she was “centrally involved” at the time.

The new notice still applies restrictions to the use of U.S. aircraft in Iran. In addition to a “temporary sojourn” lasting no more than 72 hours, the U.S.-made jets cannot transport arms, ballistic missile components, or materials used to make chemical and biological weapons. Other restrictions are detailed by the Treasury announcement.

Congress has vigorously resisted the president’s effort to allow U.S. aerospace companies to sell their technology and their products to Iran. Earlier this month, the House passed two amendments authored by Rep. Peter Roskam (R-IL) that would stop Boeing from selling aircraft to Iran.

Iran Air is seeking to buy U.S. jets. It was removed from sanctions under the Iran deal, but critics of such sales argue the airline is linked to the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps, an elite military wing that is involved in terror and lucrative investments.

The new approval also comes as Iran has seized another American, apparently for criticizing the regime’s human rights record.

Perhaps Obama is paving the way to live in an Islamic paradise after his term as president finally expires. Even his most ardent supporters cannot explain why Obama is such a patsy for the various Islamic regimes that seek to destroy us. He has always denied that he is an adherent to Islam, though there is ample evidence of photos showing him wearing Islamic garb, engaged in Islamic school activities in Indonesia where he grew up, and even in his carefully worded speech that should recognize that Islam as the fount of Islamic terrorism throughout the world.

But actions speak even louder than words, and his coddling and kowtowing to the Muslim interest groups speaks volumes regarding where his heart truly is when it comes to the “religion of peace” and its ultimate objective of world domination and the murder of all “infidels” or nonbelievers.

But who knows? Maybe he will ultimately be caught between feuding factions of Muslims deciding which one is right. It would be interesting to hear him verbally threading the needle about Islamic terrorism then, a situation we can only dream will happen.
