The terrorist responsible for the Orlando attack, Omar Mateen, was employed by a global security firm, G4S Secure Solutions, as a private security officer. Marteen had worked for G4s for more than 8-years. G4S claims to be the world’s leading security solutions group with operations in more than 100 countries and 610,000 employees. G4S has more than 50,000 employees in the U.S. and its domestic headquarters is in Jupiter, Florida.
G4S is also the same company the U.S. government has contracted to transport illegal immigrants from the southern border and release them at bus stations, as reported on June 4th.
Among illegal aliens crossing the southern border, U.S. Border Patrol has seen a surge of people from the Middle East, specifically from Pakistan and Afghanistan.
Mateen had been interviewed by the FBI twice in 2013 and again in 2014 in reference to complaints from co-workers about terror-related comments he had made, yet the FBI deemed him not a threat after interviewing him.
