The Obama administration loves scrubbing references to the Islamic deity, it seems. On Monday, the Department of Justice released the transcript of Omar Mateen’s 911 call, which had references to the Islamic State group and Allah omitted. However, the outcry was mighty and later that afternoon, the DOJ released an unedited transcript.
But that wasn’t the first time the Obama administration engaged in such revisionist editing.
When accused traitor Sgt. Bowe Bergdahl was traded for five Taliban leaders — which, to this day, is still a terrible trade — Bergdahl’s father Robert Bergdahl made a statement in a Rose Garden ceremony, and the transcript showed a similar omission.
“Bismillah al-Rahman al-Rahim,” which simply translates to “In the name of Allah, the merciful, the compassionate,” was left out of the transcript of Robert Bergdahl’s comments, according to Breitbart.
Here’s how the transcript read: “I’d like to say to Bowe right now, who is having trouble speaking English — (speaks in Pashto) — I’m your father, Bowe.”
That one reference to Allah was removed and replaced with “(speaks in Pashto).” Pasto is a language spoken primarily in Afghanistan and Paskistan, and the official transcript censors the Allah reference to this day.
“(T)he Arabic phrase bismillah al-Rahman al-Rahim appears prominently in the Quran and means ‘In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful,’” according to the U.K. Daily Mail. “Sara Carter, senior Washington correspondent for conservative news network TheBlaze, said her Taliban sources were ‘thrilled’ at the phrase being used.”
When this all took place, former CIA officer Clare Lopez explained the scrubbed statement: “These are the opening words of every chapter of the Quran except one (the chapter of the sword — the 9th).”
“By uttering these words on the grounds of the (White House), Bergdahl sanctified the (White House) and claimed it for Islam,” Lopez stated.
So there you have it: The next president will be inheriting a White House claimed for Islam by the parents of an accused military deserter — and it’s all blacked from the transcript.
