The words “Republican” and “gun control” typically don’t go together, but House Speaker Paul Ryan has decided to change that, according to Roll Call. A week after the House Democrats’ 25-hour sit-in for gun control, Ryan announced Thursday via a conference call with House Republicans that the House will vote on a counterterrorism package with a stipulation to prevent people on the federal government’s terror watch lists from buying guns.
“It’s common sense,” Ryan reportedly said on the conference call.
Many Second Amendment supporters are opposed to such legislation because of the lack of transparency and due process involved in the government’s watch lists.
@BreitbartNews Ryan has completely betrayed his fellow Republicans. The 2nd Amendment is Iron Clad there is no way to Legally change it!
