Now that Hillary Clinton is the presumptive Democratic nominee, the campaign against her has shifted into high gear as her opponents start to do everything possible to deny her the presidency.
KCBD reported that a store owner in Texas has a rather unique way of informing people just how bad he thinks a Clinton presidency would be.
Mark Lee used the space on his sign for Slide Plant Market in Lubbock County to write “Crooked Hillary would be a f***ing disaster,” only he didn’t cover up the profanity and he isn’t apologizing for it.
“I don’t agree with what the Obama administration has done, and I can’t imagine four years of Hillary,” Lee explained. “I’m not a profane man, but some things just need to be said and I can say whatever I want. It’s my right.”
There are no laws in Lubbock County that say you cannot display profanity on a public sign, so for now there is nothing anyone can do legally to get Lee to remove the sign.
There has been widespread condemnation of the sign, more for the profanity on it than for anything else.
“I have a 10-year-old daughter who can read,” one woman told KCBD. “I don’t necessarily want her to read that and then ask me what that word means.”
But there has also been a large amount of support
Lee stated that kids of almost all ages use that word and even if they don’t say it, it’s very hard to go one day without hearing someone online or in person start swearing.
“I shouldn’t have to shut up because somebody doesn’t want to hear what I got to say,” he said.
Lee has the right to display what he wants. While profanity may not be the most eloquent way to express his feelings, it just about sums what we’ve all been thinking for months.
