The University of Pennsylvania held its graduation ceremony this weekend, and there were some rather famous faces in the crowd of family, friends and well-wishers supporting their favorite graduates.
One of those famous faces was none other than billionaire businessman and presumptive GOP nominee Donald Trump, who was there to witness the graduation of his daughter Tiffany, according to People.
Tiffany was graduating from Penn’s School of Arts and Sciences. Trump himself attended Penn in his youth, graduating from the Wharton School of Business in 1968.
The candidate was accompanied by his wife, Melania Trump, as well as his daughter Ivanka and youngest son Barron. The family was joined by Trump’s ex-wife, Marla Maples, who is Tiffany’s mother.
Donald Trump could have gone to one of the several state GOP conventions being held this weekend to win over reluctant delegates while securing those he had already won. He also could have busied himself in the search for campaign donations, or in reaching out to gain more allies in Congress in his bid to unify the party.
Instead, he placed all of that on hold in order to spend time with his family and support his daughter Tiffany on what was quite possibly the biggest and most important day of her life so far, her graduation from college.
This shows where Trump’s loyalties truly lie. He is a family man who loves and supports his children as they embark on their own path toward success in life.
Not surprisingly, though they did mention it, the media didn’t really dwell on Trump’s attendance of Tiffany’s graduation. The image of him as a proud father and family man doesn’t particularly fit with their narrative of him as a misogynistic and bigoted racist who cares for nobody but himself.
