The resignation of DNC Chairwoman Debbie Wasserman Schultz continues to hang over the Democratic National Convention. The disgraced chairwoman fell on her proverbial sword after emails released by WikiLeaks revealed that the DNC actively worked to undermine the campaign of Vermont Senator Bernie Sanders.
One question that still remains is whether or not Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton was aware of the DNC’s activity on her behalf. RNC Chairman Reince Priebus joined The Sean Hannity Show on Monday and his answer was a resounding yes.
“Of course she knew, she had to know, it’s ridiculous,” Priebus told Sean. “The idea that there are two people running and you’re telling me that Hillary Clinton and her senior staff never knew that senior staffers at the DNC were plotting and colluding and orchestrating strategies to derail Bernie Sanders? Of course not.”
Priebus went on to say that the Democratic Primary debates, amongst other things, were a clear indication that the DNC was biased toward Hillary. At the time, critics observed that the debates were scheduled at odd times and dates so as to minimize viewership.
Priebus added that in his capacity as RNC chairman, he was in constant contact with the candidates, further diminishing the idea that Wasserman Schultz and Clinton never spoke.
“Everyone talked to me, all of the candidates talked to me,” Priebus continued. “They talked to me when they were mad about things and they called and complained.”
One thing is for sure, Chairman Priebus certainly got the last laugh after Wasserman-Schultz’s crass Tweet during the Republican Convention:
