Report: FBI concludes no truth to rumors Donald Trump has ties to Russian government

WASHINGTON, D.C. The New York Times is reporting that the FBI has concluded their months long investigation into rumored ties between Donald Trump and the Russian government and have found “no clear link.”

The paper says the bureau looked at Trump’s business dealings as well as possible connections to banks and found nothing.

The bureau also reportedly checked into claims that the recent hacking of emails from the Democratic National Committee and Hillary Clinton’s campaign chairman John Podesta was done to help Trump and found that wasn’t the case and that Russia simply wanted to disrupt the US elections in general.

Democrat operatives have claimed that Trump was working with the Russians to leak the emails through the Wikileaks site.

The Times claims that Hillary Clinton supporters who were angry that there has not been the kind of scrutiny of Trump that there has been of their candidate were the ones that pushed for the investigations.

The latest revelation from the bureau about the lack of finding on Trump refocus the attention on the reignited and widening scandal involving Hillary Clinton’s use of a private email server and possible violations of the US Espionage Act.

FBI Director James Comey dropped a bombshell on the campaign last Friday when he announced that he was reopening the case after the discovery of emails “pertinent” to the case on the laptop that was used by Clinton’s close aide Huma Abedin.
