Accusing two non-profit organizations bankrolled by the liberal billionaire of posing a “threat to the foundations of Russia’s Constitutional order and national security,” the Russian Prosecutor’s Office has officially designated the organizations in question as undesirable groups, essentially making them persona non grata and weakening Soros’ foothold in the country.
Both the Open Society Institute and the Open Society Institute Assistance Foundation were caught up in a probe by Russian authorities into the activities of American non-profits operating in the nation, operating on the suspicion that said groups were working to subvert the government. Given Soros’ sordid history of preying on vulnerable countries and making a killing off their misfortunes, it is no wonder that Putinist Russia moved to put a lid on his movement and actions within it’s borders.
Interestingly, the law by which Soros and his associates were virtually expelled from Russia only came into effect this year. Taking aim at foreign organizations that set up shop in Russia, the Law On Undesirable Foreign Organizations seeks to limit the ability of agitators like Soros from destabilizing their country. RT explains:
“The Law on Undesirable Foreign Organizations came into force in early June this year. It requires the Prosecutor General’s Office and the Foreign Ministry to draw up an official list of undesirable foreign organizations and outlaw their activities. Once a group is recognized as undesirable, its assets in Russia must be frozen, its offices closed and the distribution of any of its materials must be banned.
If the ban is violated, the personnel of the outlawed group and any Russian citizens who cooperate with them could face heavy fines, or even prison terms in the case of repeated or aggravated offences.
The Soros Foundation started working in Russia in the mid-1990s, but wrapped up its active operations in 2003.”
In light of a blatant admission by Soros as to his intentions for the countries he does business in, perhaps Russia’s course of action is understandable, as Truth and Action has previously documented:
“George Soros is actively trying to destroy the First World by dissolving international borders in the hopes of creating a one-world government.
‘As reported by Breitbart London, Soros recently publicly confirmed that, yes, he seeks to essentially wipe out all European borders following an accusation made last week by the prime mister of his birth country, Viktor Orban (who, unlike Soros, actually has to deal with the tens of thousands of second- and third-world migrants streaming into his country and other European nations – while Soros lives free of such inconveniences in his $10 million mansion/castle outside of New York City).’”
“Following Orban’s statement, Soros sent an email to Bloomberg Business, in which he claimed that his foundations actually help ‘uphold European values,’ while Orban’s actions in bolstering the Hungarian border and thus impeding a huge influx of migrants ‘undermine those values.’
‘His plan treats the protection of national borders as the objective and the refugees as an obstacle,’ Soros added. ‘Our plan treats the protection of refugees as the objective and national borders as the obstacle.’”
If only our government would take such action against Soros!
