Sean Hannity on Ryan’s Trump comments: ‘Maybe we need a new speaker’

Sean Hannity is not happy with Paul Ryan, not at all.

The Fox News host ripped into the House speaker for saying he wasn’t ready to support Donald Trump on Thursday.

“Well, I’m not ready to support Speaker Ryan anymore. I’m thinking maybe we need a new speaker” Hannity said to his guest, former House speaker Newt Gingrich, during his Thursday night show.

Hannity’s criticism came after Ryan told CNN’s Jake Tapper earlier in the day that his support for Trump is “not there right now.” He added, however, that he hoped to eventually back his party’s presumptive nominee.

Ryan wasn’t the only big-name Republican speaking out against Trump on Thursday (much to the joy of the Clinton campaign which has been emailing reporters a running list of Republicans blasting Trump) Both former presidents Bush have declined to lend their support to Trump and 2012 presidential candidate Mitt Romney said he will not attend the convention.

“It seems almost coordinated,” Hannity said. “Both Bushes have declined to endorse Donald Trump, Mitt Romney saying that he will not go to the convention this year, and then we have Paul Ryan saying the following when asked if he would endorse Donald Trump.”

Hannity’s anger at Ryan began earlier Thursday, when he tweeted out a series of grievances over the Wisconsin Republican’s comments.
