Donald Trump’s son has revealed why his father decided to finally run for president. The reason is shocking and it is not what most Americans thought. This is a game-changer.
Eric Trump’s astonishing revelation about why presumed Republican nominee Donald Trump is running for the Oval Office == after years of simply flirting with the idea — took place on Sunday with New York’s AM 970 The Answer radio.
It’s not what you think. Trump supporters might have thought it was his concerns about illegal immigration that were the top cause, or possibly the Obama administration’s trade policies and international deals. His critics claim Trump ran because he wanted the ego boost, or simply to prove that he could win at everything.
But Eric Trump said it was a different factor entirely — and one few would have suspected as being the key issue.
“I think, honestly, the Iran nuclear deal was one of the things that made him jump into the race,” Eric said. “I think that was a game changer for him. That is when he finally said, ‘Kids, I am going to it. I am going to give this a real shot.’”
Donald Trump has been opposed to the Iran nuclear deal for a long time and has been very vocal about it. At a speech in February, Trump stated that his “No. 1” priority if he takes office will be to void out “the disastrous deal with Iran.”
Of course, Trump announced his campaign before the deal was actually struck, but long before the pact was concluded in July of last year it was clear the Obama administration was going to stop at nothing to achieve a deal with the mullahs, even if it meant lying to the American public.
The New York Times Magazine recently profiled Obama’s Deputy National Security Adviser Ben Rhodes, who essentially admitted using an ignorant, biased media to deceive the American public about the administration’s dealings with the Islamic Republic of terrorists in Tehran.
So it seems as if Donald Trump was on the right track when he was vocal in his opposition of the deal. In fact, he was so right that he decided he needed to run for president to make sure the Iran nuclear deal is nixed. And that was almost a year before a key figure in the White House admitted the deal was sold on a lie.
Talk about foresight.
