“SILENT NO MORE”: George Bush Rips Obama

If liberals thought George W. Bush was the worst President ever, they were in for more than they bargained for when Barack Obama took office.

Think Bush’s wars overseas were too costly? Well, whatever progress we made in the Middle East was reversed by Barack Obama. It’s no coincidence that ISIS rose right as we reduced our presence in the region, and destroying them will cost more than the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan ever did.

Think the economy was bad under Bush? At least the economy grew under him. Barack Obama will be the first President to never see a single year of 3% GDP growth – and set the record for the slowest economic recovery since 1960. Obama can’t even take credit for much of the decline in the unemployment rate during his presidency, which has been fueled by seniors taking early retirement, and others giving up looking for work and leaving the labor force (which means they’re no longer statistically counted as “unemployed” – even though they are in reality).

Think Bush was inarticulate? Without a doubt, Bush had some hilarious doubts, but at least the man didn’t need a teleprompter in private meetings and didn’t routeinly become a stammering mess. (Just a bonus, the satirical newspaper The Onion has a hilarious report titled “Obama’s Home Teleprompter Malfunctions During Family Dinner” that’s a must watch).

Whatever criticisms liberals can bring against Bush, Obama did it worse. As the Young Cons reported, W. is rightly slamming him for that:

In a closed-door meeting with Jewish Donors Saturday night, former President George W. Bush delivered his harshest public criticisms to date against his successor on foreign policy, saying that President Barack Obama is being naïve about Iran and the pending nuclear deal and losing the war against the Islamic State.

One attendee at the Republican Jewish Coalition session, held at the Venetian Hotel in Las Vegas with owner Sheldon Adelson in attendance, transcribed large portions of Bush’s remarks. The former president, who rarely ever criticizes Obama in public, at first remarked that the idea of re-entering the political arena was something he didn’t want to do. He then proceeded to explain why Obama, in his view, was placing the U.S. in “retreat” around the world. He also said Obama was misreading Iran’s intentions while relaxing sanctions on Tehran too easily.

According to the attendee’s transcription, Bush noted that Iran has a new president, Hassan Rouhani. “He’s smooth,” Bush said. “And you’ve got to ask yourself, is there a new policy or did they just change the spokesman?”

“You think the Middle East is chaotic now? Imagine what it looks like for our grandchildren. That’s how Americans should view the deal.”

The first step towards fighting a problem is accurately diagnosing it. George W. Bush wasn’t afraid to call the threat of Islamic terrorism what it is: Islamic. Barack Obama can’t even understand that much (or would rather ignore that fact so he can retain his “progressive” image). Thank God we only have a few months more of his Presidency left.
