For a while there, rocker Ted Nugent was almost always in the news, having made yet another controversial comment about President Obama, liberal calls for stronger gun control, or both.
The outspoken Second Amendment champion is back, with another volley aimed straight at the man in the White House.
On Facebook, Nugent reacted to the President’s address at the memorial service for five slain Dallas police officers with four sharp, furious sentences:
“Obama is the black man’s & America’s worst enemy. He is no leader. He is still a punkass commie muslim scamming community organzier out to fundementally [sic] transform ie – DESTROY America. Thanks for nothing you sonofabitch.”
Nugent wrote this after approvingly linking to an opinion piece at WND.com, which used more judicious language:
His speech Tuesday in Dallas was, without a doubt, one of his best. However, after extolling the virtues of the Dallas police and the fallen, he simply couldn’t resist the temptation to legitimize those who feel the police are out to get them, as he has done many times before.
Over the last year, we watched as Obama gave Black Lives Matter, the group that is largely responsible for stirring the racial caldron and ginning up hatred against police, credibility. He even invited one of its leaders to the White House.
Some will argue that Nugent’s jabs at lame duck Obama are a waste of time at this point. Others believe that as long as he remains in the Oval Office, the president will continue to provoke violence thanks to what he does and doesn’t say. After he leaves office, he’ll leave behind a legacy that Nugent, for one, wants to oppose.
