During a House Oversight Committee hearing Thursday, South Carolina Congressman Trey Gowdy grilled FBI Director James Comey.
In the short exchange, which can be viewed above, Gowdy got Comey to answer publicly on the false statements Hillary Clinton has given to the public on her emails.
America was loving it…
Gowdy brought his “A” game here. This is devastating.

The media was quick to compliment his questioning:
Gowdy questioning of Comey much more clinical/effective: All the ways Clinton’s public statements are at odds with what FBI found.

Gowdy is asking very direct questions that Comey is having difficulty answering https://t.co/l4oFxLCHlJ

Gowdy notes that this decision has furthered the idea that there is a “double track justice system” in the United States. Damning charge.

And to point out what it’ll be used for:
This Gowdy exchange with Comey is a ready-made ad for Republicans.

One American compared him to the panel’s head, Rep. Jason Chaffetz (R-UT):
Let me say this it appears Trey Gowdy is in a league above @jasoninthehouse

And by the end, people had just one request:
Other Republicans should yield their time to Gowdy
— Rich Lowry (@RichLowry) July 7, 2016
Can somebody yield Gowdy more time?

Comey is still answering questions.
