Trump asks rally-goers who they want as VP

Donald Trump on Saturday sought suggestions from his fans on who they’d like to see as his running mate.

“Everybody wants to know who I’m going to choose for VP. Who do you like?” the presumptive GOP nominee asked the crowd at a rally in Tampa, Fla.

Trump tried to listen as attendees yelled answers out. He noted that he specifically heard the names of former Speaker Newt Gingrich, Sen. Jeff Sessions (R-Ala.) and former Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice, all of whom have been floated as potential running mate picks.

“I’ve never done this before. This is fun,” Trump said. “We have a lot of good people. You’ll be happy.”

Trump has said he will announce his running mate at the Republican National Convention in July, where he will officially become the party’s nominee for president.
