When presumptive Republican nominee Donald Trump took the stage outside a closed manufacturing plant in New Hampshire this week, he had all the elements for his pitch to focus economic policy on the country’s domestic production:
The former Osram Sylvania factory was the backdrop, the audience was welcoming, Trump’s speech was full of alarming statistics about job losses in the country, and a former plant employee named “Mike” had a story that proved just why Trump’s campaign has proven so popular.
