Donald Trump, the presumptive GOP presidential nominee, has already begun his campaign against his most likely general election opponent, Hillary Clinton.
In a new statement, Trump demanded that Clinton release a list of judges that she would consider nominating to the Supreme Court.
Trump gave a speech at the National Rifle Association’s leadership forum on Friday where he challenged Clinton to release her picks. Trump himself has already released a list of potential replacements for the late Justice Antonin Scalia’s now vacant seat. Trump stated that many conservatives have praised him for his choices.
“Now I’d like to call for Hillary Clinton to put together a list also,” he added.
Trump already has some opinions about what a Hillary Rodham Clinton Supreme Court justice nominee shortlist would look like, and he was betting it would not consist of names that would garner Clinton more support.
“Let her put together a list, because I would like to see what that list consists of,” Trump commented. “And you will see it’s day and night. And it won’t be good for the people in this room, and it won’t be good for the people in this country, most importantly.”
We love that Donald Trump is not afraid to ask the hard questions and issue tough challenges to his opponents. It is this kind of leadership that sets him apart from his potential opponent as well as makes him a revolutionary among Republicans.
It would be fascinating to see Clinton rise to The Donald’s challenge, but we frankly just don’t think she has the guts.
