Presumptive GOP nominee Donald Trump made a significant move to ramp up his operations this week by hiring two campaign veterans, Karen Giorno and Kellyanne Conway, to manage his efforts both in Florida and across the country.
“Karen is a valuable asset to my team and a consummate professional,” he continued. “She has done tremendous for me in Florida in the primary, which I won in a landslide, and I am certain we will win again in Florida in the general election.”
Trump reportedly added that Conway was especially skilled at polling female voters. Given his generally poor favorability ratings with women, the addition of Conway to his team could give him a much-needed boost with that demographic.
This massive staffing change came only weeks after Trump terminated former campaign manager Corey Lewandowski and officially replaced him with veteran strategist Paul Manafort, who previously served as an adviser to the presidential campaigns of Gerald Ford, Ronald Reagan, George H. W. Bush, Bob Dole, George W. Bush and John McCain.
