Trump has constantly been smeared throughout his campaign by mainstream media. They try to paint him as being a racist, bigot and fascist.
He is obviously not these things and is actively fighting these allegations. It was recently that he made this large announcement.
He made a foreign policy address whereby he made an agreement on Facebook with American citizens.

“This is my pledge to the American people: As your President I will be your greatest champion. I will fight to ensure that every American is treated equally, protected equally, and honored equally,” Trump posted.
“We will reject bigotry and hatred and oppression in all its forms, and seek a new future built on our common culture and values as one American people,” he posted.
Trump had discussed bigotry in his Monday foreign policy address in the context of immigration. During the speech, he said “we should only admit into this country those who share our values and respect our people.”
Trump said in the speech that screening equals safety.
Trump called upon America to return to the days when pride was the thread that bound immigrants into a nation.
“Assimilation is not an act of hostility, but an expression of compassion. Our system of government, and our American culture, is the best in the world and will produce the best outcomes for all who adopt it,” he said. “This approach will not only make us safer, but bring us closer together as a country.”
He noted that focusing on a shared heritage can help achieve it.
“Renewing this spirit of Americanism will help heal the divisions in our country. It will do so by emphasizing what we have in common – not what pulls us apart,” he said Monday.
Many posters on Facebook embraced Trump’s words.
“Wanna talk about bigotry???” posted Katelyn N Jesse Simmons. “How about those who come here from third world countries and expect us to change to the customs they fled from?!?! No, just no. Voting Trump all the way.”
“Thank you President Trump — we believe you and know this to be true. Too many enemies of America are lying and trying to paint another picture. It’s time for blacks, whites, hispanics, asians and all people to see the truth of what’s really going on, the battle for the soul of America and individual liberty. Trump stands for all Americans,” commented Ben Horak.
Some saw the words as more than just rhetoric.
“Mr. Trump when you become President I will expect you to fulfill your pledge… America is in desperate need of leadership and cannot afford another failure,” posted Mark Low.
