In less than 24 hours posted to his Facebook page, Donald Trump’s new anti-Hillary video has been seen more than 1.7 million times, and the view count is growing by the hundreds per minute. It has also generated some 10,000 comments.
The 34-second video brings the controversy around the Benghazi attack and the loss of four Americans back into sharp focus. It’s introduced in the Trump Facebook feed with just four words: “Hillary has bad judgment.”
The attack ad uses brief but powerful TV interview segments featuring loved ones of the victims of the 2012 terrorist assault on the U.S. compound in Libya. One of those interviews was conducted by the Fox News anchor with whom Trump has so famously feuded, Megyn Kelly.
According to the website LawNewz.com, the final report of the House Select Committee on Benghazi, chaired by Rep. Trey Gowdy, could be released within weeks — meaning its impact could be felt right before Hillary is expected to accept her party’s nomination for president.
Benghazi Committee Chairman Trey Gowdy said, “the committee has identified new facts that significantly impact our understanding of what happened before, during, and after Benghazi.” In 2014, the House established the Select Committee on the events surrounding the 2012 terrorist attack in Benghazi, Libya.
